Nigeria’s Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba, has implored the youths of the country to take advantage of some of the programmes and opportunities provided by the Federal Government to actualise their innovative and entrepreneurial ideas by growing their businesses and becoming self-reliant.

The Minister, who said this during a courtesy visit to the palace of the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II ahead of the stakeholders meeting in Edo State regarding the state of the nation, said one of such economic plans for the youths is the 75 billion Naira Nigerian Youths Investment Fund, NYIF.

Agba was in Benin City on the directive of the President to hold a stakeholders’ meeting regarding the agitations of the youths calling for an end to SARS.

The Minister appealed to the youths to take advantage of the Federal Government’s economic plans for them and register in the portal for the 75 billion Naira Nigeria Youths Investment Fund.

He assured the youths that the Federal government has taken steps to meet their demands, while the Benin monarch appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari and the Edo State Governor for the timely intervention over the EndSARS protests.

The Minister said the Federal Government has put in place measures and initiatives principally targeted at youths, women, and the most vulnerable groups in the country.
