The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has reportedly stated that CNN – Cable News Network ought to be sanctioned for its detailed report on the shootings at the Lekki Toll on the 20th of November.

The extensive report which drove a wedge into the claims if the Federal Government that no civilians were shot and empty rounds were shot into thin air not only traced the live rounds fired to the year and country from which it was purchased by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

In addition, some individuals who died at the toll were identified and another whose body went missing as relayed by their relatives were also spotlighted.

Lai Mohammed continues to maintain that despite glaring evidence and witnesses, the said unfortunate incident at the toll was a ruse and there still is no evidence to back it up.

In addition, he also described DJ Switch as a front for destructive forces, as he claims if she had so much evidence, why flee when no warrant has been declared for her arrest. He further claims she spread fake news during and after the #ENDSARS protest and will soon be exposed.

The events at the Lekki Toll continue to unravel like a mystery as the narrative of what really happened at the toll continues to change from the Federal Government.

The #ENDSARS protest and consequent violence afterwards are currently being investigated nationwide.
