The Federal Government has directed the closure of all Nigeria land borders with effect from 12:00 noon of Friday, March 8 to 12 noon Sunday, March 10, 2019
In a statement signed by the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede, the directive is in furtherance of the gubernatorial and state assembly elections taking place on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Babandede also said the closure will help restrict movements across the borders during the election.
