Festive season demand has pushed Nigeria’s inflation to 21.47% up from 21.09 percent in the previous month.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said this in its latest consumer price index (CPI) report.

NBS also attributed the increase in the monthly inflation rate to the cost of importation due to the persistent currency depreciation and general increase in the cost of production.
