Female player abuse: FIFA extends ban of Afghanistan football chief

FIFA has extended its ban on Afghanistan football federation president, Keramuddin Keram for another three months as it continues investigations into allegations of alleged abuse of female players.

Afghan women’s national team players had last year, accused Keramuddin Keram and the top officials of the Afghanistan football federation of sexual and physical abuse.

The various incidents of abuse had allegedly occurred at the federation’s headquarters in Kabul and a training camp in Jordan.

FIFA disclosed the approval of a request by investigators to extend Karim’s interim ban for another 90 days, which includes all football-related activities at both national and international level.
