Further investigations into the failed murder attempt on Fayemi are still being carried out in order to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Although the gunman wore a police uniform, the police spokesman in the state, Caleb Chukwuemeka has said that the command is still waiting for the incidence reports from the officers deployed to provide security at the reception held in honour of Fayemi.
Taiwo Olatunbosun, APC spokesperson is however convinced that the policeman who was said to have pulled the trigger was fake and an assassin.
Details of the actual identity of the suspected gunman are yet to be released.
However, Fayemi said his party is here to reclaim Ekiti and is willing to work with everyone including those who just migrated to APC.
