Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has discovered a secret camera at the shooting scene in Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State.

on Sunday, Fashola came upon the device while visiting the area where the End SARS protest was held for 13-days before forcefully cleared.

Men in army uniforms invaded the protest ground on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, and opened fire on the peaceful protesters.

There have been a number of altercations over the number of people who were killed and injured.

Nigerian Ministers and the South-West Governors on Sunday inspected some of the places vandalised during the violence and it was during this visit that Fashola discovered the hidden camera, which he said were planted.

According to reports, the Minister picked up the device with a handkerchief and handed it to Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who assured the camera would be used for further investigation on the Tollgate shooting.

“I think this will help with the ongoing investigations into the shootings at the Lekki Tollgate. It requires forensic analysis and could be used in the investigations to unravel the mystery surrounding the shootings at the Tollgate, I believe,” the Governor said.
