Facebook is set to launch ‘NG_Hub from Facebook’ in Lagos, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Last year, Facebook had announced that in the first quarter of 2018, it would launch its first community hub space in Africa, with the objective of encouraging and training software developers and tech-based entrepreneurs in fast-growing Africa. They stated that the centre would run ‘incubator-based’ programs to help develop technology start-ups. They also target the training of 50,000 Nigerians in IT-based skills.
The hub space will also include work-spaces, meeting rooms, ‘games and chill-out’ room and an event space.
The launch event will be streamed live on their Facebook Africa Page on Tuesday, May 22 at 9:30 am (GMT + 1).
