Facebook has sued two app developers that have allegedly installed malware on android apps just to generate fake clicks on Facebook ads in what can be termed the first lawsuit of its kind.

The money generated from the generated ads were eventually domiciled with the two developers LionMobi and JediMobi in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively.

Facebook has come out to disclose that the advertisements are in violation of its policies and as a result banned the developers from its ad network and at the same time, refunded advertisers back their funds.

Google Play recently banned over 30 apps using ad fraud schemes that have been reported to the company as part of an investigation that took place recently.

Google has also banned the developers from the play store in light of their breach of developer policies.
