Asides Libra, the cryptocurrency Mark Zuckerberg is trying to launch, the word is out that it is currently also working on it’s augmented reality platform – Orion which is expected to replace smartphones entirely.
The pair of glasses is expected to show information in a small display quite similar to Google Glass and also allow users to Livestream their journeys to friends and followers alike.
In more recent news, the technology guru has now partnered with RayBan, a popular eyewear brand with Luxottica and these glasses are expected to hit the market between 2023 and 2025.
For Rayban, they would be walking away with a different set of innovation a pair of smart glasses to be named ‘Stella’ and will launch before Orion. They are expected to feature cameras allowing users to record precious moments.
Facebook is not alone in its quest for AR Glasses, Apple is also working on a similar product and it is now not yet clear which product will hit the market first.
