The House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South, Enugu Federal Constituency, Mr Ejikeme Omeje has died in an auto crash on Tuesday morning.
Omeje, a pharmacist and top APC chieftain in Enugu North Senatorial district died along Eden Ani/Nsukka road, near El-Rina hotel, Nsukka.
It was gathered that he was driving alone along Erina-Edem Ani road when he suddenly lost control as his car veered off into a bush and hit a tree.
An eyewitness who gave his name as Okechukwu Ezeme said that Omeje was rushed to a hospital where he died due to serious injuries he sustained in the head.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, could not be reached for confirmation.
