Huddersfield Town’s 51 years old chairman, Dean Hoyle, is in the hospital after developing pancreatitis.

Hoyle had taken ill after his team’s 1 nil defeat to Liverpool late October last year and after undergoing a routine operation to remove gallstones, he developed pancreatitis.

He has spent the last 15 weeks in hospitalreceiving treatment at St James’ University Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Despite being in the hospital, Hoyle has been fully involved in key-decisions at Huddersfield Town, including the appointment of Jan Siewert as head coach, although the club’s Chief Executive, Julian Winter, holds the reins on a day-to-day basis.

Dean Hoyle plans to be in attendance for his side’s home game against Arsenal on Saturday.
