Osinbajo apologizes for decadence

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has via his Twitter platform apologized to the multitude of Nigerians protesting against the SARS movement.

He disclosed that indeed responsibility needs to be taken for the brutality that many Nigerian youths have suffered especially by those paid to protect them.

He further went on to share the current plans underway to ensure that the criteria set by the protesters, one of which is to bring the now-former SARS operatives to book for their heinous crimes and ensuring that thise same officials are not redrafted into other police units.

This comes a night after a candlelit memorial session was held to mourn those who were brutally killed, injured or maimed in protests.

Nigerian youths have continued to show uncommon discipline and coordination replicating same across multiple states in the Federation in protesting against police brutality and have now introduced helplines for assisting in terms of medicare, legal assistance, food and other emergencies for all protesters, a feat which several administrations have not been able to achieve as successfully, even during the global pandemic.
