Reactions have continued to trail President Muhammadu Buhari’s Thursday national broadcast as some residents of Makurdi town, Benue State’s capital said it came too late.
They further argued that had he presented the speech earlier, it would have averted the death of many who unfortunately died in the course of the protest.
Activities in Makurdi have continued normally with no incidents occasioned by the #EndSARS protests like in some other parts of the country.
However, its residents like others eagerly looked forward to hearing their President address the nation but seemed dissatisfied when he eventually did.
Although some have agreed to heed President Buhari’s call to leave the street but with expectations.
It’s been over two weeks since the inception of the End SARS protest which has steadily degenerated with protesters directing their demands to the President whose response was desperately anticipated a call he finally responded to late Thursday.
