Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiques announced earlier today that as many as 59 well-preserved pharoanic coffins have been uncovered in the Saqqara area.
According to Mostafa Waziri, locating the mummys began as far back as the beginning of August which led to the discovery of mummys of priests as far back as 2500 years away.
This discovery is very symbolic as it is the biggest discovery of Egyptian coffins since the al-Asasif was discovered in October last year.
