Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state says he has approved a 50 per cent increase in scholarship allowances for the students from the state across the country.
He made the disclosure at the 14th Convocation ceremony and 20th anniversary of Adamawa State University Mubi (ADSU),
The Governor however directed the Scholarship Board to carry out the review immediately for the students to start enjoying it.
Gov Fintiri said that his administration is committed to the development of education and assured to continue investing in it.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, said the institution started with three faculties and 13 departments but has over time increased to seven faculties consisting of 42 programmes in 35 departments.
She added that arrangements are on to bring on board the Medical and Health Science Faculty.
