Six cousins of the incumbent governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, have endorsed the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, ahead of the election.
The leader of the Obaseki’s cousins, Osaro Obaseki, who led other five of his brothers to the private residence of Ize-Iyamu on Saturday morning to throw their weight behind him, said their cousin failed to live up to expectations hence they decided to support the APC governorship candidate who they believe has the blueprint “simple agenda” manifest to turn the fortune of the state around for good.
The Governor’s cousins came with branded face caps with the inscription: Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyam, POI.
Ize-Iyamu, however, expressed gratitude to the Obaseki’s for their show of support and urged them to win the minds of more Obaseki’s for him.
