Canadian professional wrestler and Dwayne Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson has recently passed away. The World Wrestling Entertainment confirmed the news on their website and since reactions have poured in extending messages of sympathy to the family to Dwayne and his family.
Rocky began professional boxing at age 16, he eventually became a National Wrestling Alliance Georgia Champion among several others. He finally retired in 1991 but not without training his son on how to become a professional wrestler. A decision which Dwayne confesses to having detested but is now eternally grateful for.
Dwayne shared a close relationship with his now late father and has on several occasions thanked his father for teaching him to be a man and how to raise his own family.
