The Anti-Corruption Network has filed a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, the US Embassy, British High Commission, and Transparency International against the Kogi state government for an alleged diversion of public funds.
Co-convener of the group Dino Melaye, says the group through careful investigation has uncovered huge financial fraud carried out by the Kogi state government, governor of state Yahaya Bello, amounting to twelve billion Naira from 2016 to 2019.
Melaye however threatened a protest to the EFCC headquarters if the commission failed to act on the petition.
