There are new revelations to the allegation of molestation on an 11-year-old boy, Don Davies, JSS 1 student at Deeper life high school, Uyo campus, Akwa Ibom State, South-South, Nigeria.

While Don Davies’ Mother, Debora Okezie, released a fresh video online, it was gathered that the Akwa Ibom state government, which intervened, has handed the matter to the police, for further investigation.

The innocent child made headlines for rather unfortunate reasons.

His mother had released a video online in December 2020, accusing the Uyo campus of Deeper Life High schools for allowing her son to be molested and starved.

Despite news of pressure from several quarters on Okezie to pull down the initial video, a latest video on her facebook page, sees her son, Don Davies revealing names of two suspected senior students who had molested him, including a house master, he alleged starved him.

Before this latest video, the social media was washed with news that Debora Okezie is demanding ₦100 million damages from Deeper Life High School.

Meanwhile, in a video made available online, Deeper Life Schools Education secretary, Thelma Malaka said the management will not cover up any immoral act

A statement by the Akwa Ibom state government on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, says the investigation of the incident has been transfered to the police.

Ini Ememobong, the information commissioner said the government remains committed to unravelling the truth in the sexual abuse allegation and would “prosecute anybody found culpable of any wrongdoing.”

While Don Davies regains his confidence health and strength at least as seen in this latest video, the coming days will determine what Debora Okezie really wants as compensation, what Deeper Life Schools investigation recommends and how the police in Akwa Ibom is handling the matter to ensure justice is served.
