Danjuma Raises Alarm Over Plans To Rig Elections In Taraba

Nigeria’s former Minister of Defence, General Theophilus Danjuma, has raised an alarm over plans to rig the 2019 governorship election in Taraba State. 

The elder statesman alleged that there are moves to cause civil unrest so that the state’s governorship election will be rescheduled to a time when the election can be rigged to perfect a change of government. 

General Danjuma was speaking in Takum where he commissioned some projects. 
He charged the people of Taraba State to guard their votes during and after the election. 

The former Minister of Defence also urged the people to conduct themselves peacefully despite provocation. 
The retired general also revealed that there are plans to use security agencies to disrupt and rig the elections. 

He cautioned the people against selling their votes to power hungry politicians. 
Retired General Danjuma who hails from Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State was in his hometown to commission a medical laboratory constructed by the state government, and a model secondary school by the victims support fund in partnership with the Taraba State Government.
