Cross River Govt. to Establish 3 More Isolation Centres

Cross River State Government has expressed its readiness to establish three more isolation centres in a bid to prepare for any anticipated case of COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

The Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the newly inaugurated COVID-19 Committee on Fund Raising and Resources Mobilisation, Tina Agbor, made this known while addressing reporters in Calabar on Wednesday.

Agbor, who said the Fund Raising Committee has been saddled with the responsibilities of seeking funds within and outside Cross River State, explained that the new Isolation Centres to be built in Obanliku, Ikom, and Ogoja became necessary due to their distance from Calàbar.

The Committee Chairman called on corporate individual, organizations and friend of Cross River to help the state at this trying period, stating that the state has made a mark in its effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic into Cross River.
