The Cross River State Police Command has threatened to declare wanted and arrest some top politicians and traditional rulers in Yala Local Government Area of the state if they fail to honour its invitation.

The State Police Commissioner, Aminu Alhassan, stated this in Calabar shortly after he paraded some thirty two suspected criminals who have been terrorizing Cross River State.

Alhassan who said his coming to the state was to make peace a reality, hinted that anyone caught to have broken the law will face the consequences.

He said the Command had invited some top suspected politicians and traditional rulers over inter-communal conflict between the communities of Itega Okpami and their Oba neighbours in Yala Local Government Area of the state which has left three persons dead and several houses burnt.

Failure of those invited by the police to come, according to the CP, will lead to the Command declaring them wanted and getting them arrested.

The Commissioner of Police while warning criminals to either relocate or have a change of mind said those paraded will be charged to court after thorough investigation.
