Cross River State House of Assembly Member representing Akpabuyo State Constituency, Elizabeth Edem Ironbar, is dead.
Multiple family sources who spoke with reporters confirmed her death, saying she has been on sick bed for months.
Elizabeth a retired principal and two-term member of the State House of Assembly until her death was an active lawmaker whose contributions was visible at both her constituency and on the floor of the House.
According to a family source, She died late hours of Tuesday after a protracted illness.
The former lawmaker will be remembered for her famous Cross River State Disability Commission Bill passed in the Eight Assembly.
She was among the few lawmakers who did not join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
