Former Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to plead guilty at a Madrid court to the tax fraud charges against him.

In 2017, a state prosecutor accused Ronaldo of having used shell companies outside Spain to hide income from his image rights and found him guilty of four counts of tax fraud worth £14.7m from 2011 -2014.

As part of a deal struck with Spain’s state prosecutor and tax authorities last year, the Juventus forward will appear before a judge and receive a suspended two-year sentence, and fines totalling £16.8m.
