COVID-19: Taraba State Government Reviews Lockdown

The COVID-19 lockdown in Taraba State has been relaxed with effect from Thursday, April 9, 2020.

Markets, vehicles, and other public places are allowed to open, and human and vehicular movements are also allowed from 8 am to 2 pm.

However, the ban by the State Government on large gatherings remains until further notice.

The relaxation on the lockdown was made known in a press statement signed by Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary to Taraba  State Governor, Darius Ishaku.

The statement also commended Taraba people for complying with the stay-at-home order despite its difficulties, but also reminded them that it is in the interest and wellbeing of the public.

    I live in Taraba, I very scared that I heart covid 19 in my local government, the government should protect and eradicate the virus in our country. And i pray to Almighty to eradicate the virus all over the world
