The President of Tanzania, John Magufuli, declared 3 days national prayer starting today the 17th of April to Sunday, the 19th of April. The national prayer is organised to help a country to fight the COVID 19 virus outbreak in the country.
The first case of the COVID 19 virus was confirmed in Tanzania on the 16th of March and the only reason to 94 cases within the past 4 weeks, four deaths have been recorded of the virus in the country so far.
President John Magufuli made this announcement on his Twitter yesterday, Thursday 16th of April after the country confirmed 6 new cases of the COVID 19, which increased the number of confirmed cases from 88 to 94.
The president urged all citizens 2 to participate in the prayer regardless of their religion, he asked to pray for God’s protection and healing. Over 2 million cases of the COVID 19 have been confirmed worldwide and almost 150 thousand deaths have been recorded.
