Coronavirus: Enugu Govt. moves isolation centre to Teaching Hospital

In a bid to contain the spread of Coronavirus in Enugu State, South East Nigeria, the state government has approved the redesignation of the isolation centre at Colliery Hospital in Enugu North Local Government Area to Enugu State Teaching Hospital, Park Lane.

The Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Health, Ifeanyi Agujiobi, while briefing reporters on the development at the Government House, explained that the state government has also approved the upgrading of the isolation centre.

The Permanent Secretary, who was with other medical personnel in Enugu State, noted that the action by the government is in line with the recommendation of the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC.

Enugu state government had earlier released 20 million naira to tackle the virus in the state .

Meanwhile, the State Executive Council had approved additional 330 million Naira for the fight against Coronavirus and other health emergencies in the state.
