South America’s football governing body, CONMEBOL has announced that the postponed second leg of the Copa Libertadores final will be played outside Argentina on the 8th or 9th of December at a yet to be decided venue.
The tie had been delicately poised at 2-2 from the first leg before fans’ violence prevented the second leg from holding.
The governing body has stated that a definite date and venue will be decided as soon as possible, while also stating that the body will coordinate security with the relevant authorities before the rearranged fixture holds.
Meanwhile, Italy, Paraguay and Brazil have all offered to hold the match.
