CNN Anchor, Victor Blackwell couldn’t hold back his emotions in response to President Trump’s description of the Baltimore district while lashing out at Elijah Cummingsm a senior Democratic Congressman.
A little over two weeks ago, President Donald Trump of the United States told 4 minority group leaders to return to their totally broken and crime-infested places if they didn’t like the decisions being taken as they needed to help fix their nations first, despite the fact that all of these women were born in the United States.
Just yesterday, Trump lashed out at a senior congressman, Elijah Cummings via his Twitter handle referring to him as a brutal bully shouting and screaming at the great men and women of Border Patrol in reference to the Southern Border while the Baltimore District was worse off. “Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA……,” Trump tweeted.
“(T)he Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place,” he said.
“No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately,” Trump wrote.
He went further to describe the Baltimore District as a disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess to which Blackwell was able to identify a pattern where which Trump made use of the word ‘Infested’ when trying to refer to black or brown-skinned people.
President Trump’s comments on both accounts have been tagged as racist as Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic House Speaker responded to Trump by calling Cummings a champion for civil rights and economic justice.
Senator Elizabeth Warren called Trump’s tweets “ugly and racist. They’re purposefully designed to turn us against one another.”
Trump’s actions are in retaliation to Cummings criticism over the conditions of the U.S Mexico border facilities that house migrants which the elder congressman retorted as below
“You feel like you’re doing a great job, right?” Cummings asked during a congressional hearing. “What does that mean? What does that mean? When a child is sitting in their own feces, can’t take a shower? … None of us would have our children in that position.”
