The Nasarawa State Police Command has paraded 67 criminal suspects in the Police Headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
The Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, said that criminal elements have turned the Nigerian railway tracks in the state into gold mines as they vandalise and cart away rail tracks that pass through villages in the state.

Longe informed reporters that the state police command developed a strategic anti-vandalism template to arrest the tide of the unwholesome scenario which help in capturing some of the vandals along Agyaragu Tofa in the Lafia Local Government Area of the state.
Among the suspects arrested are personnel of the Criminal Investigative Department and the Nigerian Security, Civil Defense Corps in Lafia, and civil servants working with the state government.
The Commissioner of Police said extensive investigation into the case is being carried out as he emphasized that it is a case of sabotage being perpetrated by unpatriotic Nigerians.
