Nigerian Air force Enugu arrests four suspects with truckload of rail tracks

Four suspected armed robbers alleged to be specialized in vandalizing rail tracks have been arrested by Nigerian Air Force personnel on internal security patrol, Nigerian Air Force Enugu Base southeast Nigeria.

Among the suspects are two dismissed Nigerian Air Force officers who are alleged to serve as escorts.

Parading the suspects at the Headquarters of the Ground Training Command Nigerian Air Force in Emene, Enugu, southeast Nigeria, commander 553, BSG Enugu, Air Commodore Isaiah Taiwo, said that the four suspects were arrested around an airport roundabout near Enugu by the Air Force Internal Security Patrol with a truckload of vandalized rail tracks belonging to the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC.

Air Commodore Taiwo hinted that the four suspected criminals were subsequently detained at the Air Provost Wing of the Nigerian Air Force while the leader of the gang is at large.

The hoodlums were later handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigations.
