Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater handed driving ban

Chelsea’s midfielder, Danny Drinkwater appeared at the Stockport Magistrates’ Court for a brief hearing before District Judge Mark Hadfield, where he pleaded guilty to the charge of drink-driving.

He has been handed a 20-month ban from driving as well as mandated to carry out 70 hours’ community service.

The England international was involved in an automobile accident when he crashed his Range Rover through a wall on the 8th of April at around 12:30 am in Mere, Chesire.

Drinkwater was two and a half times past the legal limit of alcohol consumption when driving at the time of the crash.
