The chairman of the independent national electoral commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu has assured eligible voters who are yet to get their permanent voters’ cards that will be given their PVCs before the expiration of the time frame for collection.
Mahmud who is currently speaking at Chatham house in London on the preparation towards nigeria’s election and other related matters said, PVC collection is currently being done at the ward level and will move to the local government level before it closes on January 29.
He mentioned that people who applied for a transfer due to the change of location would only get their PVCs at their new location where they would also vote and not at the point where they applied.
