Chad President, Idriss Derby at a technology conference in the nation’s capital D’jamena lifted a year long ban on social media by requesting internet service providers to resume the service.
Chad has been on a social media ban since March last year which the President claimed was divisive.
The ban at the time restricted platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and was effected for security reasons according to the government sources.
He also admonished that everyone should use the tools for purposes of development and not as a source for division.
