Some Civil Society groups in Nigeria have passed a vote of confidence on the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele over the introduction of the new cash withdrawal policy.
They made their position known during a peaceful protest in Abuja.
Convener of the group, Etuk Bassey express their unalloyed support for the policy while stating its benefits for Nigerians.
He blamed unscrupulous politicians for the tension that greeted the announcement of the policy while cautioning the Department of State Security DSS over being used to arrest the CBN governor.
While also cautioning the DSS, Leaders of various civil society groups insist it is the best policy ever introduced by any administration in the country.
