Cameroon child kidnappers warned victims not to return to Christian school

Reports indicate that parents on Thursday have packed up belongings from the boarding school now being closed. The students were kidnapped on Monday in Bamenda.

After negotiations between stakeholders and some religious group leaders, about 80 of the students were released but the principal and one teacher, are still in captivity.

According to local media, Curfews have been imposed and closed schools in protest against Biya’s French-speaking government perceived of marginalization of the English-speaking minority, an allegation the government denied strongly.
