President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his sadness over the death of several Nigerians by flood in his home state, Katsina, and other parts of the country.

A statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu says the President has pledged Federal Government’s support for the victims.

Buhari has accordingly directed the National Emergency Management Agency to do everything possible to bring succour to the victims wherever they were.

Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari had on Monday confirmed 44 people dead and 20 others missing in the Sunday night rainstorm that ravaged Katsina State border town of Jibia.
