The family of Breonna Taylor has been granted the sum of $12 million as compensation over the unfortunate murder of Breonna who was killed during a police raid.
Breonna Taylor became a martyr for African Americans as well as many others who have been especially vulnerable to police brutality in the United States of America.
Before her untimely death, Breona worked as as a 26 year old emergency room technician. She was shot in after her boyfriend mistook the policemen who broke into his home retaliated with a gunfire parade that saw her bleed to death in her hallway.
The compensation and new reforms which will include more oversight by top commanders, mandatory safeguards being adhered to, an early warning system to flag off officers accused of excessive force.
