The police have early Monday sealed off the office of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen has been sealed by the police, as reported by sources at the Supreme court.


The policemen were seen at the premises of the office as early as 7am on Monday, stopping any possibility of accessibility of the Chief Justice to His office as well as keeping all administrative staff out.


One of the sources said, “The police have sealed the office of the CJN. Officers and men of the Force went to the administrative staff offices at about 7am and ordered clerical and other staff who were already at their desks to leave after which they locked up everywhere.”


This development sprang up as the National Judicial Council (NJC) has called for an emergency meeting on Tuesday to deliberate on the abrupt suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen and the swearing in of an Acting CJN Justice Tanko Muhammad by President Buhari.
