Gunmen have abducted more than 200 students attending an Islamic school in Tegina town in the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State
In an interview with reporters, a community member said a lot of people were scattered in different directions seeking safety.
He added that there has been no formal communication between the gunmen and the teacher who is the custodian of the young students.
Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of Niger State Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Wasiu Abiodun, on the issue were not successful.
