The Acting NDDC Chairman, Kemebradikumo Pondei, while in attendance at the current NDDC investigation at the House of Representatives has been shown out of the vicinity after showing symptoms of ill-health during the hearing.
During today’s hearing of the ongoing investigation for the NDDC, Pondei visibly exhibited signs of ill-health before he was shown out for further medical attention.
Pondei lost consciousness for a few moments before he was resuscitated.
Pondei, prior to fainting disclosed that the sum of ₦1.32 billion not ₦1.5 billion was spent on COVID-19 palliatives, he also mentioned that ₦72 billion was remitted to the Interim Management Committee.
He also disclosed that scholarship payments for students studying are due to be released this week.
Pondei started exhibiting signs of ill-health when he was challenged on the ₦641 million contract awarded to a certain company identified as Clearpoint Communications which he stated wasn’t explicitly factored into the 2019 budget.
In a related matter, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo stepped down from the investigation panel after allegations of being one of the beneficiaries of the alleged corrupt proceeds from the NDDC.
