One of the 5 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Adamawa State has reportedly passed away as made known from a covert source.
The now-deceased male patient was reportedly suffering from a respiratory infection and showed similar COVID-19 symptoms at a private hospital before giving up the ghost. The patient died before health officials from the State capital could arrive at the private hospital, unfortunately.
The family and hospital were gracious enough to have the sample from the deceased taken, which eventually came out as positive, and was among the resulted published by the NCDC.

“It is true that we now have one dead from the coronavirus because there was a suspected case that before the sample was taken the person had already died. We got a report that the person entered a hospital (name withheld) with the respiratory problems and our team was called. Immediately we began to mobilize but before we could get there because the place was a bit far we learned that the person had died.”
