Son of Brazil legend (Pele), Edinho, has said that his father has been having difficulty in walking and he is also reluctant to leave the comfort of his house.

The three-time world cup winner cannot walk unaided as he needs the support of a frame to move around. He has had issues with his hip for some time and most of his appearances have been in a wheelchair.

The 79-year-old who will turn 80 in October was treated for a urinary infection in 2019 and his health has been a major concern to fans worldwide.

The great Pele scored a total of 1, 281 goals in 1, 363 appearances during his 21 years of playing the beautiful game of football. He also scored 77 goals in 91 appearances for Brazil.
