Borno State government has urged INGOs and NGOs in the state to economically empower those living in IDP camps with relevant skills to enable them to return to their ancestral homes rather than just giving them money.
The State Governor, Umar Zulum, gave the charge during a security summit organized by civil societies to come up with a peacebuilding mechanism despite rising cases of insecurity challenges faced in the Northeast.
Zulum who was represented by the chief of staff, says the state government is working out a long-term solution to return those in IDP camps.
