Prof-Zulum sets 10 point agenda

Borno State Governor-elect, Professor Babagana Zulum, says he will build on the foundation already laid by incumbent Governor, Kashim Shettima, revolving around a 10-point transformation agenda.

Zulum was speaking during the 2019 presentation of certificates of return to Governor and state House of Assembly members-elect in Maiduguri.

Babagana Umara, who received his certificate of return, said he will go ahead with the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and resettlement programme of the current administration, with a view to returning internally displaced victims of Boko Haram insurgency to their respective homes.

Zulum appreciated the efforts of his party to clinch all the elected political positions in the state. Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Adamawa, Borno, and Taraba States, Retired Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Muazu, told the elected officials that the event is mandatory.

He congratulated the Governor and the state House of Assembly members-elect. Muazu also congratulated the voters of Borno State for defying the odds to elect their leaders.

Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, his Deputy, national and state assembly members, among other dignitaries witnessed the occasion.
