The arraignment of Drambi Vandi, the policeman alleged to have killed a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, on Christmas Day last year has begun at a Lagos High Court in Tafawa Balewa Square.
Vandi was arraigned on a one-count charge of murder before Justice Ibironke Harrison.
When the case came up, the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyo Onigbanjo, SAN, told the court that he was informed that the defence counsel was still on his way.
The court had to stand the matter down to await his arrival.
As of the time of this report, the prosecution had called its first witness, a police officer, to testify.
