No fewer than 24 persons have been killed in a fresh Boko Haram attack in Dabna, a community three kilometers away from Graha, in the Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, the hometown of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

The community was under Boko Haram attack in the early hours of Wednesday. The gunmen were shooting sporadically, burning structures.

A resident who confirmed the attack to reporters said the gunmen have now proceeded to Kingim, and at about noon they were still attacking the village.

The resident said currently, there is a heavy presence of security personnel including the airforce, the army, and the police in the area.

The Army Public Relations Officer, 23 Brigade, Yola, when contacted, declined to comment.

It will be recalled that Kwapre, a neighboring village of Dabma was attacked in April this year. These communities have been under attack, due to their proximity to the Sambisa forest.
