The Boko Haram insurgents in the Northern region of Nigeria released shocking footage showing the execution of five humanitarian workers in Borno state.

The footage was released on Wednesday 22nd of July 2020.

According to the report, the Boko Haram insurgents demanded the sum of $500,000 as a ransom for their release after they were abducted, which was not paid.

In the released footage, the insurgents declared that the payment time was up and proceeded to murder the humanitarian workers. The insurgents said to the humanitarian workers that they were working for unbelievers who did not care about them.

The Boko Haram called on to the viewers to repent and turn to Allah, referring to them as unbelievers and infidels.

Following the release of the footage the President, Muhammadu Buhari vowed that he would wipe out Boko Haram insurgents from Nigeria. He also sent his condolences to the families of the workers.
