Professor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has been visiting the communities attacked by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

The attacks were unleashed on Tashan Alade, Shaffa, and Khiributu communities in Hawul Local Government Area near Chibok in the southern part of the state.

A statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Isa Gusau, on Sunday, said that the Governor who had been away to Katsina State and Abuja since Thursday for series of activities, cut short his trip following the attacks.

It hinted that about four communities, including, Tashan Alade, Shafa, Azare, Sabon-Kasuwa, and Debro were affected in Saturday’s attack, with schools, shops, and places of worship destroyed by the terrorists.

It further said that three persons were killed in Shafa, among them two hunters and a civilian.

Zulum was said to have addressed the terrified residents who returned to Yimirshika town earlier on Saturday, after attempts by the terrorists on the town, were repelled.
